– It was a nasty match to watch, and Victor was very affected afterwards. Yesterday he took several tests, and has a monitor on his heart for two days to make sure everything is OK, writes Nilsson Lindelöf.
– Talk about life stopping when that happens, and how grateful you become for everything. Huff. Incredibly uncomfortable, especially when I could not get hold of him, which I always do.
Nilsson Lindelöf further writes that it took time before she finally got hold of someone in Manchester United’s coaching team who could tell that everything seemed OK with her husband.

In the last year, football has witnessed several horrific incidents involving players who have struggled with heart problems.
Most people will remember the horrible situation in the Park in Denmark during the European Championships where Christian Eriksen (29) fell over with cardiac arrest. Fortunately, his life was saved by his teammates, and by the Danish medical team.
Must have defibrillators
The same can be said about Emil Pálsson (28) in Sogndal, who also fell over with cardiac arrest in the settlement against Stjørdals-Blink in November this year. He too was fortunately rescued in time.
Sergio Agüero (33) in Barcelona also experienced chest pain, and was finally replaced in the match against Alavés earlier this season. Barcelona have later confirmed that the striker has a heart rhythm defect that is being treated.
Spanish media have for a long time reported that Agüero’s situation seems to be so serious that it could mean the hook on the door for his further career.
Norwegian Caroline Graham Hansen (26) was also taken out of the game for Barcelona’s women’s team when she also had a heart rhythm defect. Fortunately, the Norwegian superstar has completed rehabilitation, and is back in play for the Catalan giant club.
