Sud-Ouest regularly reports on the adventures of this old institution, which should never have deviated from its social objective. We are informed of the position taken by the municipal majority which underlines the responsibility of the previous majority. It’s fair game. The current opposition tries to defend itself more or less clumsily. This is the classic scenario.
But what the Bordelais want to know is who are the technical responsible (s) for this serious fault. Admittedly, the elected officials have their share of responsibility because of their negligence or their blind excess of confidence in one or more executives of municipal credit. But their carelessness in the choice of people should not exonerate those really responsible for this madness. Who is the one or who are those who took themselves for real bankers, without assuming the risks? Their carefully maintained anonymity is also a fault because their future employers or future colleagues (if their civil servant status makes them escape a well-deserved dismissal) must know who they are.
