WARTAKOTALIVE.COM — Political observer Rocky Gerung spoke out about his statement that said the president was a stupid bastard and was accused of insulting President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Rocky Gerung denied the accusation that he insulted President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). However, he admitted insulting the position of the president, but not insulting Jokowi’s figure as a stupid bastard.
Rocky explains that only humans are allowed to feel humiliated, because they have dignity. Meanwhile, the president has no dignity, because the president is a function and not a human being who can be insulted as a stupid bastard.
“Those who are allowed to be insulted are only humans, because he has dignity. The president has no dignity, because the president is not a person. The president has a function,” said Rocky while filling in the Common Sense Dialogue entitled ‘Political Ethics Developing Indonesian Democracy’ at the residence of NTB Provincial DPRD member Najamuddin Mustofa in Montong Tanggi, East Lombok, Monday (31/7/2023).
“So what I insult is not Jokowi, but his position as the president we have chosen together,” said Rocky.
According to Rocky, only humans have dignity and are attached for life.

“Tomorrow I will definitely be called by the police because yesterday I disturbed Pak Jokowi’s thoughts which are currently viral. How can I be accused of insulting President Jokowi?” said Rocky.
Rocky’s words have gone viral on social media. In the video, Rocky is seen attending an event.
In the video, Rocky throws criticism at Jokowi.
Rocky alluded to Jokowi’s visit to China which discussed the IKN issue.
