Kriss Hatta has left Islam to return to Christianity. This was conveyed directly by him during the Christmas celebration in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Saturday (25/12).
He has embraced Christianity again, said Kriss Hatta, he has been doing since 2019. However, he has only dared to reveal this now.
“Since I was released from prison yesterday, to be precise before going home, it was October 2019. So this is, like my attempt to inform the public, that I have moved back to my original belief,” he said. Kriss Hatta.
In addition, Kriss Hatta has also started to open up on social media. The actor who was imprisoned did not even hesitate to reveal to the public that he was no longer a Muslim.
“Today I have started to open up on social media, starting to open up to my friends, with this coverage, one Indonesian should know that I am back,” explained Kriss Hata.

One of Kriss Hatta’s goals to return to his original religion is to avoid getting a job offer on television. Later he turned out to get an offer to play a ustaz.
“So let the community and television clients who have been usingcalling to offer the role of Ustadz, to let you know that I can no longer play a character like that,” said Kriss Hatta.
The former Hilda Vitria is sure that later clients will have no trouble when offering jobs. Because his religion is now considered clear.
“Usually TV stations and PH won’t want to. That’s what my experience has been. At the beginning of my career, I knew I was Christian. In Ramadan, there are usually soap operas, asked about my beliefs. My manager said Christian, I couldn’t,” explained Kriss Hatta.
While still a Muslim, Kriss Hatta admitted that he got a lot of Islamic-themed jobs. However, now he admits that he will never get a job like that again.
“When converting to Islam, there are many jobs with Islamic themes, one of which is with Ustaz Mualana. So it feels weird (to become a cleric) because I’m already a Christian,” he said.
Kriss Hatta is known to have left Christianity to convert to Islam in 2015. He converted to Islam because he married Hilda Vitria.
