About 500 generators were handed over to military units – Government Courier

In the Northern operational zone, work is ongoing to improve the boundaries and positions for long-term defense. Currently, in addition to solving issues of engineering equipment, the command pays considerable attention to the creation of comfortable living conditions for personnel.

In particular, as part of a joint project with the volunteer organization “Oberig-26”, the Command of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provides electric generators to military units performing tasks in the Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Poltava regions.

– Currently, about 500 generators with a capacity of 2 to 9 kilowatts have already been handed over. In particular, to units defending the country in the Chernobyl exclusion zone. In the future, it is planned to transfer up to 5,000 electric generators, including those with a capacity of up to 100 kilowatts, for a total amount of about 4 million dollars, said the commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev.

According to the commander, this amount of generators will be enough to improve the living conditions of servicemen, as well as to do everything necessary for them to carry out their combat missions.

– This will significantly increase the autonomy of the units and increase the comfort of being in the field – said Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev.

It should be noted that the command cooperates with the volunteer fund “Oberig-26” since the beginning of the Russian aggression on February 24. During this time, the fund donated various medical equipment, food products, tactical equipment, night vision and surveillance devices, etc.
