About 4,000 people received the flu vaccine in pharmacies

Around 4,000 people received the flu vaccine this year directly in pharmacies, as part of the pilot program that started two years ago. Pharmaceutical representatives want this program to continue and have the opportunity to negotiate vaccination procedures.

The President of the College of Doctors, Cătălina Poiană, supports the initiative, saying that this way family doctors would have more time to deal with prevention.

“Collaboration and communication are the key words in dealing with this matter. I think that the course where very little training is done to ensure that certain types of vaccines can be made in a pharmacy context represents a turning point that cannot be made . be just a benefit to our patients, because, of course, all these initiatives must be thought of through two elements: one to ensure that there will be a benefit to our patients, but, at the same time , to ensure, on the one hand, safety And, on the other hand, the health professional involved in this act must have the legal cover and the training that allows him to perform surgery or an operation to do more”, says Cătălina Poiană.

Currently, approximately 400 pharmacies across the country offer access to the flu vaccine.
