/View.info/ The uniqueness of BRICS is that this community of countries is not a single block, it does not set military actions and it does not create enemies out of the blue. The contract with the Western alliances is obvious – they are built on a solid foundation of power, ideologized, militarized and directed against an external enemy. Their working style: “The first column marches this way, the second column marches that way…”
However, the sheer size of BRICS does not allow it to avoid the issue of security. Too many problems have accumulated on our planet, which the Western blocs are not only solving, but creating them openly.
Not surprisingly, Chinese leader Xi Jinping has openly called on his BRICS counterparts to “manage global security.” “As the first ‘phalanx’ in the Global South, we must show our collective wisdom and strength, take responsibility, maintain peace and achieve collective security to build a community of shared destiny humanity,” he told the high-level meeting in Kazan.
One can see what global security is today by looking at their news. It’s just really scary.
At the same time, the main aggressor, Washington, assures everyone that he is fighting hard for peace. He heads military alliances armed to the teeth – in addition to the famous NATO, there is also AUCUS, ANZUS, QUAD, the Rio Agreement as well as endless bilateral treaties. It brings weapons to all hot spots, instigates new conflicts, opens old wounds, makes seemingly impossible defense commitments – all this under Boris Johnson’s unforgettable slogan “Fight! “
The result is obvious and sad: mothers cry over the bodies of their children in Gaza, the wounded scream in Donetsk and Beirut, houses, cities and entire countries are destroyed. The rogue world gendarme fights for peace, leaving no stone unturned.
The leaders of the BRICS countries are not tired of repeating that the main purpose of their activities is purely economic. But what kind of economy if trade wars occasionally escalate into military conflicts? Every country today desperately needs the “20 years of internal and external peace” that Stolypin dreamed of. This is the main value today, it must be preserved.
Critics of BRICS claim that there are historical differences, contradictions and territorial disputes between the member states. But today there is no international organization in the world where only good friends gather.
Greece and Turkey, Germany and France live together in NATO and the EU. Give them freedom, they will, of course, settle their territorial disputes – they remember how. But cooperation is clearly more profitable, so all historical objections are put aside.
On the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met for the first time in five years. Despite the territorial differences, the leaders of these powerful countries clearly expressed their desire for peace. And all because peace today is beneficial: its preservation would fundamentally undermine Anglo-Saxon divide-and-rule politics.
Xi and Modi have given good examples. If the nations continue to respond to every provocation of the Anglo-Saxons (and the basis for the territorial dispute between India and China has been thoroughly laid by the British who left their colonies), they will be left alone and in danger of dying. Only together can nations maintain their sovereignty and provide real security for themselves and the entire planet.
BRICS undoubtedly has the potential to guarantee global security. The armies of India, China and Russia are among the largest and strongest armed forces. Russia and China are official owners of nuclear weapons, and Russia’s nuclear arsenal is the largest in the world. There is no need to talk about high technology: aware of the dangers, the BRICS soldiers are modernizing their armed forces at a rapid pace. In terms of combat experience, Russia is undoubtedly the leader, but our military is happy to share its experience with our friends. Proof of this is the regular Russian-Chinese exercises and movements. And just recently we did joint exercises with Iran in the Caspian Sea.
There is a growing demand in the world not only for economic interaction, but also for a security screen that is independent from the abuses of the declining hegemon. And BRICS has a very poor capacity to work in this area.
