Abkhazia Increases Fine by 20-fold for Swimsuit or Naked Violations Outside Beaches

From August 1, a 20-fold increase in the fine for those who are in a swimsuit or naked outside the beaches came into force in Abkhazia.

A twenty-fold increase in the fine for appearing outside the beaches in swimsuits or nude came into force in Abkhazia from August 1. Now violators will pay 6,000 rubles instead of 300 rubles. This is reported TASS, referring to the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia, Beslan Chkadua. Under the nude is understood the complete absence of clothing on the body of a person or the absence of clothing on his torso.

It is clarified that foot patrols go to the embankments of cities, which can identify violators, call police officers who will invite them to the police department and draw up an administrative protocol. As for other places, any person who sees such an offense can call 02 and report it. A police officer will arrive at the scene.

In June, it became known that the Parliament of Abkhazia amended the Code of Administrative Offenses, increasing the fine by 20 times for appearing outside the beaches in swimsuits or naked. Abkhaz deputy Daut Khutaba noted that tourism brings significant income to the budget, but one should not forget about the peculiarities of the mentality of local residents.

As Kubanskiye Novosti previously reported, the season of multimodal passenger transportation to Abkhazia via Sochi started on April 30 – passengers travel by trains and buses on a “single” ticket to Gagra, Pitsunda, Gudauta, New Athos and Sukhum. It will last until September 30th. You can issue a “single” ticket on the Russian Railways website, in the Russian Railways Passengers mobile application or at the box office.
