Regional Sales Manager (d/m/w) Abiomed

region of Bavaria & Baden-Württemberg

In this role, you are responsible for the development and expansion of the Bavaria & Baden-Württemberg region. This position will be critical and influential in establishing this new standard of care and implementing our sales strategy.

Your duties and responsibilities

  • Lead sales activities in the region and develop a commercial and clinical sales plan to achieve assigned growth and revenue targets for the region
  • Responsible for ensuring maximum sales of the company’s products and services
  • Achieving sales targets and forecasts, as well as being responsible for recruiting and training new staff
  • Developing strategies to develop new customers and improve market penetration with existing customers
  • Establish effective communication with executives and managers across the organization to ensure they are aware of sales needs
  • Leading difficult sales conversations, especially with senior prospects
  • Build relationships with key decision makers and KOL’S in assigned area
  • Participation in scientific conferences, seminars and trade fairs in Germany / Europe as well as global sales meetings
  • Adhere to business expenses in accordance with company policies
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and represents the company with utmost integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty and professionalism
  • Travel with your own team members regularly and frequently
  • Development of your own team in terms of personal and professional skills
  • Willingness to travel, 80% within the responsible department

Capabilities

What sets you apart:

  • They always put the patient first!
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable training, Masters would be an advantage
  • A minimum of 10 years of cardiovascular medical device experience is required
  • 5 years of experience leading a field sales team is required
  • Proven track record of leading a growing sales team
  • Ability to engage with others and lead team members
  • Ability to negotiate and influence senior management on issues of importance to the company
  • Strategic selling skills
  • Ability to select methods, methods and evaluation criteria to achieve results
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively
  • Willingness to travel around 80%
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
