Abinader appoints five members of the Executive Board of Banco Agrícola

President Luis Abinader designated, by decree number 361-20, five people as members of the Executive Board of Banco Agrícola, an institution destined to provide diversified credit services to improve the production and productivity of small and medium agricultural producers in the country.

The new members of the Institution’s Executive Board are Héctor Radhamés González Medina; Persio Cándido Cruz Pichardo; Arismendy de Jesús Almonte Bueno; Bernardo Sánchez Rosario; and Francisco Leonis Fernández Onofre.

In the past government administration, the department was made up of Carlos Antonio Segura Foster, as general administrator of Banco Agrícola and president of the Board of Directors; Juan José Espinal; Arnaldo Gómez Vásquez; Tomás Hernández Alberto; Francisco A. Tejada Cabrera; Iván M. Tió Pimentel; and Inocencio Peña, according to the information available on the institution’s website.

In his inauguration speech Abinader announced that Through the Agricultural Bank, RD $ 5,000 million of financing will be available at zero interest rate for the new planting.

The institution will also provide marketing support and technical assistance to ensure food security.
