Case prostitution online in the apartment in Pulogebang, East Jakarta, was dismantled by the police. The case was uncovered after the mother of one of the victims saw her son sold on the MiChat app.
Head of Sub-Directorate for Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Pujiyarto said this case began when one of the 17-year-old victims left the house in early September 2021. The victim has never sent any news to the family since then.
“But on September 24, 2021, the reporter for the victim’s biological mother found out that there was a MiChat account that offered a photo of her child for prostitution in an apartment in East Jakarta,” said Pujiyarto to reporters, Thursday (30/9/2021).
The victim’s mother then immediately made a report to Polda Metro Jaya. The police immediately launched an investigation.
Furthermore, the police found the victim in the apartment on Wednesday (29/9). Police suspect the victim was sexually exploited by 2 pimps who are also 17 years old.
“We have secured the victim’s child and the BO woman who is still a minor. As well as several jockeys who peddle underage children for sexual services,” said Pujiyarto.

The police also arrested two pimps at the scene. The two men offering services prostitution online is also 17 years old.
Kanit Renakta Kompol Dedi added that one of the methods used by the perpetrators in trapping the victim was to invite the victim to become a girlfriend.
“So the method is to invite the victim’s child to be a girlfriend and invite stay in the apartment. Next, offer women BO by using the MiChat social media application,” explained Dedi.
In addition, he said that four teenagers who were victims of prostitution were known to be held captive until they were forced become a commercial sex worker (PSK).
“The girl was sold as a girl and held captive to become a prostitute,” explained Dedi.
The police are still investigating further about the practice of prostitution at that location. The apartment manager will also be questioned by the police.
