“I like to read a lot, but in general I don’t usually recommend anything, because I consider that the taste for things is very subjective, very individual,” he explained.
However, he said that there is a book that marked him with fire the first time he read it, and that he considers to be special for adolescents to read: “The only book that I recommend is My orange-lime plant“.
“Not because you may like it or not, but because it is a very nice book to read in adolescence, which is a moment in which one enters into a very great crisis, of beginning to discover life in another place and having to stop being children”, he reflected.

My orange-lime plant is a Latin American classic by the Brazilian author José de Vasconcelos. It tells the life of a 5-year-old boy named Zezé, who lives in a very large and poor family and who tells his daily experiences and reflections to a lime orange plant that the boy makes his friend.
“That book marked me so much that I read it at least once a year since the first time I read it and to this day it still excites me.. Sometimes I open it and read just one chapter,” Pintos said.
