Abdulmajid (23) died after being found seriously injured in the Christmas space

NAME AND PHOTO RELEASE: It was 23-year-old Abdulmajid Omar Yousef Ahmed who died after being found seriously injured in December.

The family is releasing the name and photo of the man who was pronounced dead at Haukeland hospital after he was found seriously injured in an apartment over the Christmas period.

On Wednesday, December 28, Bergen police found one seriously injured man in an apartment. The man was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

Three other men were in the apartment in question with the deceased. One was quickly granted witness status, the other two were charged with murder or complicity in murder.

The man who died was Abdulmajid Omar Yousef Ahmed (23). It is the bereaved person’s wish to come out with a name and a photo, family assistance lawyer Ellen Eikeseth Mjøs told VG.

– He has received excellent compliments from everyone around him. He was a well-liked young man, and is described as very kind and thoughtful, lawyer Mjøs told the newspaper.

The image is shared according to the wishes of the mourners.

Legal aid lawyer Mjøs previously told VG that the deceased leaves behind a small child.

– The deceased was a loving father who wanted to be there for his son. A small child is now deprived of the opportunity to be with his father. It is a great sadness for the child and for the family, he said, among other things.

Two men were initially charged with murder or complicity in Ahmed’s murder. One was released shortly afterand police said the suspect’s motives had weakened.

The other, a 20-year-old, is in prison while the investigation is underway. His lawyer previously informed VG that the man denies criminal culpability.
