The Federal Youth Authority, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the United Arab Emirates Permanent Mission to the United Nations, announced the selection of the two young people, Abdel Qader Ahmed Al Saqqaf and Fawzia Yaqoub Ahmed , in the “seventh session of the United Arab Emirates Youth Delegates Program to the United Nations”. Which aims to raise awareness among young people on the role of the UAE in the United Nations and to involve them in the external work system, providing them with skills towards the latest diplomatic practices and qualifying a new generation of young people capable of representing the UAE in various international forums . The program also contributes to presenting to the international community the achievements of Emirati youth, as well as enhancing the various knowledge of young people that will enable them to enrich UN discussions related to the category of young people, while opening broad horizons that help build a global strategic relationship network.
In this context, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said: “Young people have always been part of the definition of the policies of the United Arab Emirates, who wanted to listen to them and involve them through innovative and sustainable initiatives to connect them with decision makers and enhance their contributions to various development files, especially the international representation and diplomatic work file, and we will continue to work according to the directives of our wise leadership to invest in the energies of young people, develop its capabilities and make greater use of its capabilities in regional and international arenas to serve the interests of the country and the region as a whole.
His Highness added: “The UAE has made great strides in developing the youth sector in the country and the Emirati model of youth empowerment and involvement has become globally competitive, and this has not been isolated by strategic partnerships such as the ours with the United Nations, in which we support its efforts and aspirations, particularly in relation to the transfer of skills and experience to young people and their provision of skills, through practical practice in the field of policymaking in all areas of diplomatic and development work “.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan commended the efforts of His Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrouei and his enthusiasm in empowering the nation’s youth and motivating them to participate in this program, emphasizing that His Excellency is a pioneering role model and inspiring for the ambitious Emirati youth, and we are all proud of her.

For his part, His Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, confirmed that the “United Arab Emirates Program for Young Delegates to the United Nations” embodies the vision of wise leadership to create a global model for the personality of Emirati youth and stated: The continued participation of Emirati youth in this program constitutes a qualitative station in the march Development, progress and evidence of the state’s optimal investment in its youth to develop their skills and abilities, examining the most important global issues that are raised within the corridors of the United Nations, as well as encouraging them to discuss and discuss the global challenges facing young people, with effective solutions for them, for the benefit of the young people of the world.

Young Abdul Qader Ahmed Al-Saqqaf, a scholarship student in economics, public policy and social research at the University of Bristol in the UK, participated as a participant and trainer in the Leadership Development Program, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior in United Kingdom, and also joined the Prime Minister’s Office as part of a training program with the Intelligence Team. He joined the Office of Economic Affairs at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in London, trained at Loon, a leading financial technology company, and was named by the International Renewable Energy Agency among the sustainability leader, as well as being a member of the Young Leaders for the Future of Sustainability Program from the “source” company.

As for the young woman, Fawzia Yaqub Ahmed, she holds a law degree with honors from the University of Bristol in the UK. She is currently training in a leading law firm in the country as well as being a volunteer at the Emirates Society in London. Fawzia she is fluent in several languages ​​such as Arabic, Spanish, Swedish and English. She has also joined the UAE Embassy in London as a trainee and aspires to become a successful and influential lawyer in the region.
