The governor of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC), met this Thursday, November 2, 2023, with the transitional president.
Discussions at the meeting between BEAC Governor Abbas Mahamat Tolli and Transitional President General Oligui Nguema at the Renovation Palace were focused on current economic, financial and monetary issues.
Governor Mahammat Tolli also came with the aim of presenting the financing mechanisms put in place by the BEAC to support development projects. At the same time, the Governor reiterated the availability of the BEAC to support the new authorities in structuring projects and the transition process underway in our country.
Remember that the BEAC leads the CEMAC exchange rate policy. The institution is also responsible for managing the reserves held by member states, while promoting the proper functioning of the payment and settlement system.
