Bjorn Ulveus of the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA, who returned to the music scene last year after a break of nearly four decades, is breaking up with his wife Lina Ulvelus after 41 years of marriage.
“After many wonderful and eventful years, we decided to separate“, they announced through the musician’s spokesman.
According to the statement, the two want to remain close friends and continue to celebrate their grandchildren’s birthdays and other family events together.
Björn Ulveus is one of the four members of the band formed in Stockholm in 1972, which created timeless hits such as “Mamma Mia” and “Dancing Queen”.
At the height of ABBA’s popularity in the 1970s, he was married to his colleague from the band Agneta Feltskug, by whom he has two children, Linda and Christian. Their union lasted eight years before they divorced, BTA writes. However, they decided to stay in the band.

Shortly after ending his relationship, he met the journalist Lena, with whom he passed under the wreath for the second time in 1981. From her Bjorn has two daughters – Emma and Anna. The four live on a private island near the town of Jurschholm. The family spent most of their time there, with the exception of only six years, from 1984 to 1990, when they temporarily moved to the United Kingdom, where the musician started an IT business with his brother.
