ABBA Denies Plans for Reunion Tour; Fans Left with Hologram Concerts

“There are no such plans,” said ABBA’s spokesman. The spokeswoman calls it “wishful thinking” from fans. ABBA’s win at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 meant the international breakthrough of the pop group at the time.

Since May last year, hologram concerts by ABBA can be seen in a special hall in London. The holograms by Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson are accompanied by a ten-piece band. At the premiere, the four reunited in public for the first time in 36 years.

The Eurovision song contest will be held in Sweden in 2024 because singer Loreen won the win for her home country on Saturday. With her song ‘Tattoo’ she managed to get the most points. It is the second time that the singer has won the Eurovision Song Contest, previously she did so in 2012 with the song ‘Euphoria’. In total, Sweden has now won the Eurovision Song Contest seven times. Only Ireland managed to win the event as often.
