BAKU/Trend/ – Expanding cooperation with the country’s universities and strengthening ties between business and education, ABB Bank has taken a new step in this direction by starting a partnership with Karabakh University. As part of this cooperation, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between ABB Bank and the university. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Board of ABB Bank Abbas Ibrahimov and the Rector of Karabakh University Shahin Bayramov at a ceremony held within the walls of the university.
The agreement provides for cooperation in several key areas. ABB Bank will provide scholarships to 30 female students of the University with the highest academic achievements. The scholarship, established in honor of the outstanding poetess Khurshidbanu Natavan, who played a significant role in the development of education and culture of Karabakh, will be called “Natavan Scholarship”.
During the summer holidays, internship programs will be organized for students of Karabakh University at the ABB Bank branch in Khankendi, other branches of the Bank and at the head office. As part of the cooperation, it is also planned to conduct special trainings for students and develop training programs for employees of the ABB Bank branch in Khankendi.
In addition, within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to hold career days at Karabakh University with the support of ABB Bank, create a classroom for ABB Bank, organize scientific conferences and other events, implement joint research projects, as well as provide mutual expert and consulting support.
Chairman of the Board of ABB Bank Abbas Ibragimov noted:

Rector of Karabakh University Shahin Bayramov noted the high results of the students who entered the university, as well as the professionalism of the academic and administrative staff. He emphasized that the university pays special attention to the quality of education: “The President of our country has set important strategic tasks for Karabakh University. Such partnerships are necessary for their successful implementation. The memorandum signed with ABB Bank will be a useful experience and will provide new opportunities for both our students and teachers, as well as for ABB Bank employees.”
