Starting from the dashboard, the selector Sport fashion today it is called Scorpion Mode, more aggressive. Its function is to intervene on torque delivery, response to the accelerator and calibration of the power steering; everything is made more “pungent”, just to stay on topic. In the 595 Turismo the finishes of the leather seats are new and an additional color nuance is added called Helmet Brown. Instead, we aim straight at the history of racing with the 595 Competizione that will show off the Blue Rally paint for the bodywork; is a matte color inspired by the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally of the Seventies. Another homage to racing is found in the 17-inch wheels that recall those of the legendary Lancia Delta Rally Integrale in the latest versions. Also available are Alcantara upholstery for the dashboard, the gear lever knob in carbon and new leather seats. Climbing towards the 595 Esseesse you aim straight for the emotions, because new titanium silencers have been developed for the Akrapovic exhaust. LED daytime running lights are standard on the entire range, while xenon headlights can be optionally available.

THE ENGINES OF THE ABARTH 595

The beating heart at high pulsations is always the 1.4 T-Jet turbo four-cylinder engine, the basis of which is also used in Formula 4. In the entry level of the Abarth 595, power is set at 145 horsepower. The 595 Turismo has 165, while they reach 180 out of the 595 Competizione and Esseesse. The last two are equipped with a Garrett GT1446 turbine, the mechanical self-locking differential, Koni Fsd shock absorbers and Brembo brakes with fixed aluminum calipers. The standard gearbox is manual but the robotic sequential with paddles on the steering wheel is also available as an option.

The multimedia center of the Abarth 595 is the Uconnect system with a 7-inch touch screen. Optional preparation for Apple / Android smartphones and navigator. The start-up and shutdown animations have been renewed in the 2021 model. For those looking for something more, there is the BeatsAudio system with eight-channel amplifier with 480 watts of power, six speakers in the passenger compartment and a subwoofer in the trunk.
