A dog, apparently abandoned on the streets of Malaysia, was painted with orange paint and black stripes to resemble a tiger. The images began to circulate on social networks and forced an association defending the rights of animals to call on anyone who had knowledge about those responsible for painting the dog to immediately contact them.
The Association for the Rights of Animals in Malaysia shared the images, however viral, on its official Facebook page and called for help from all followers.
Although, as of the date of publication of this article, there is still no suspicion as to who was responsible for painting the animal with paints that, by its nature, are toxic, the association also asked the help of the local authorities to try to find the culprit (s).
It is unknown, however, whether the authorities have channeled the necessary efforts and means to respond to the request for assistance. According to officials of the association, the animal has already been rescued and is currently on the premises of the association.
In addition to the bath, the activists also shaved the animal’s fur due to all the chemical components that are part of the paints used to make it look like a tiger.
To expedite the entire investigation, the association is offering a reward to anyone who reveals credible information that could lead to the identification of those responsible.
