Despite the traumatic experience of being abandoned in a cemetery in the freezing temperatures that hit Ohio in December, a 3-year-old boy has been surrounded by an “overwhelming response” of expressions of affection for his community.
–
According to David Center, Hinckley Police Chief, Ohio, The calls and messages to help the little boy identified simply as “Tony” were so many that they made him “renew” his faith.
–
Local media reported local police were called shortly after noon Wednesday to Hope Memorial Gardens Cemetery, where a witness reported seeing a car speeding away and a small child “running after the car followed by a dog.”
–
When the police arrived, they questioned him and the boy told them that his name was Tony but that he did not know his last name. Likewise, the boy who is approximately one meter and weighs about 40 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes, informed the officers that his mother’s name is Katy and his father David.
–
While the circumstances that led him to be left alone in the middle of that cemetery were being clarified, a “loving family from Medina”, said the police, shelters him in their home.
–
Likewise, through a post on Facebook, the authorities revealed that little Tony’s parents have already been identified.
–
“Thank you to our local media for their help in finding the parents. We also greatly appreciate all calls and messages to help Tony. All of you have renewed my faith and appreciation for the wonderful community in which we live and around us. You all really are the best! God bless you all, ”Chief Centner wrote.
