With the completion of the Concello de Vigo and Concello de Marín Trophies, Abanca Week sets course for the provinces of A Coruña and Ourense and will not return to the Rías Baixas until November, when the Canoeing Gala is scheduled in Vigo. In the trophies already contested, some 1200 athletes of traditional rowing, ergometer rowing, sea kayak, dinghy sailing, Olympic sailing and cruising sail.
The Organizing Committee that leads the Club Marítimo de Vigo is already working on the event that will take place in Cortegada, province of Ourense, in the days October 9 and 10 in which the best specialists from Spain and Portugal will meet water skiing, to compete in the Iberian Championship.
Sada’s competitions also return from the hand of his Nautical Club, which in this edition will be two: the first for this weekend the cruise with the Divine King Regatta; and the second in November with the arrival of the Spanish League of Rowing, organized together with Vigo, Tarragona, La Línea de la Concepción, Málaga and San Sebastián. In Sada the A Coruña Provincial Council Grand Prix, of which it was confirmed that one of the best and most prestigious technicians at the national level, Moncho Ferrer, will be the race director.
In Sada they will meet rowers from all over Spain and Portugal, because in addition to being scoring at the Spanish level, it has quality also from Iberian Championship, like Skiing. It is expected to host around three hundred athletes of a specialty that will be in the next Olympics.
The Real Club Náutico de La Coruña organizes the Isabel Zendal regatta for female crews, in which the Monte Real Club de Yates, the Náutico de Vigo, the La Coruña, the Astur de Regatas de Gijón, the Marítimo del Abra, the Náuticos de Palma and Las Palmas, as well as the Spanish Armada, a crew from the three Galician universities and a British one. The Optimist Meeting Gadis will also be held, which will put into play the Aurelio Fernández Lage Trophy and which will bring together two hundred young athletes.
