Aaron Taylor-Johnson is a surprise favorite to be the next James Bond after taking part in a top-secret film casting, reports The Sun.
He’s relatively unknown compared to other understudies for Daniel Craig, who shed his 007 tuxedo after five films about the legendary spy.
Inside sources say Aaron, who starred in Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age of Ultron and 2014’s Godzilla, Murder Train with Brad Pitt, has impressed Bond franchise boss Barbara Broccoli.
“Aaron went to an audition to be the next Bond in September and the producers and Barbara loved him. Now he’s one of the favourites,” insiders said.
Aaron, 32, made his breakthrough in 2009 in the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy. While filming, she began a relationship with director Sam Taylor-Wood in 2009 when he was 19 and she was 42. They got married on June 21, 2012. Both changed their last names to “Taylor-Johnson”. They have two daughters. Sam has two daughters from his previous marriage.
He played Count Vronsky in Joe Wright’s ‘Ana Karenina’.
Speculation for Craig’s successor is rife, with the likes of Tom Hardy, James Norton and Idris Elba.
