Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Stephanie Hsu will join Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in front of the cast of ‘The Autumn Boy’an action comedy previously shot in Australia under the direction of David Leitch, head of “John Wick”, “Deadpool 2”, “Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw” or the recent ‘High speed train’.
Inspired by the popular early 1980s TV series of the same name, the plot will follow an unfortunate stuntman (Gosling) who is presented with the opportunity of a lifetime, in an ambitious film project that includes a reworking with the big movie star (Taylor – Johnson) who fired and branded him before the entire profession. The problem is that with production already underway, the aforementioned movie star … disappears without a trace.
Blunt will play a prosthetic makeup artist who also works in production and who, of course, has had a romantic relationship with Gosling in the past, while Hsu will play Taylor-Johnson’s personal assistant.
The film, written by Drew Pearce (‘Iron Man 3’, ‘Hotel Artemis’), is a production by 87North Productions and Entertainment 360 that Universal Pictures will release in theaters in Spain and the United States on March 1, 2024.
Before and throughout 2023 we will see Gosling in ‘Barbie‘, to smooth in’Oppenheimer‘, a Taylor-Johnson and’Kraven the hunter‘ya Hsu in the fifth and (sadly) last season of “The wonderful Mrs. Maisel”.
