Aaron Judge is the fastest player to reach 300 home runs

Chicago. Aaron Judge reached 300 home runs faster than any other player, hitting a home run on Wednesday in a 10-2 rout of the Chicago White Sox by the New York Yankees, who had Mexican Alex Verdugo.

Judge, who has been with the Yankees since making his major league debut in 2016, reached the milestone in his 955th game and 3,431st at-bat with a three-run shot in the eighth inning.

The six-time All-Star slugger, who was named the 2022 American League Most Valuable Player, found a high, inside sinker from Chad Kuhl on a 3-0 count and sent the ball into the left-field bullpen for his major league-high 43rd homer of the season.

Ralph Kiner reached 300 home runs in his 1,087th game. Babe Ruth did it in his 3,831st at-bat.

Chicago had intentionally walked Juan Soto before Judge, who had not hit a 3-0 homer since 2021, came to bat.

Soto had hit a home run in the first inning off Davis Martin. It was his fourth homer in two games and his 34th of the season.

Tim Hill (4-0) got the win and Michael Torkin pitched three innings for his second save.

For the Yankees, Mexican Alex Verdugo was 1-for-4 with one run scored and two RBIs. Dominican Soto was 1-for-2 with three runs scored and one RBI. Venezuelans Gleyber Torres was 0-for-4 and Oswaldo Cabrera was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and one RBI.

For the White Sox, Cubans Luis Robert Jr. 1-4, Miguel Vargas 1-4.
