Le general manager du Magic, John Hammond, clearly pressed the reset button. After his franchise player Nikola Vucevic and french Evan Fournier, it’s the turn ofAaron Gordon to leave Florida. The Magic helicopter spins Denver in exchange from the back Gary Harris, du rookie RJ Hampton and a first-round pick. This week, Gordon had let his management know that he wanted to go elsewhere. Orlando came up with a pretty decent deal to transfer him. Aged only 20, Hampton has shown some flashes of talent in his rare appearances for the Nuggets. As for Gary Harris, he is barely regaining his level which was his before the health crisis. The change of air can only be beneficial to him in a team, where he will take over Fournier’s costume at fullback.
For Denver, this is a great deal. The Rockies franchise went from strength to strength earlier in the day with the arrival of JaVale McGee and continues on his spear. Overdue on post 3 since the departure of Jerami Grant, the Nuggets were actively looking for a rookie. Aaron Gordon, who capped Orlando, can also relaunch as the 6th luxury man. A good defender if he is motivated, Gordon has become a versatile winger with more than 4 assists this season. With this movement, Denver is repositioning itself in the playoff race and can hope to aim even higher.
