Los New York Yankees They are already in the Major League playoffs waiting for their rival for the Division Series which will come from the Wild Card duel between the Kansas City Royals and the Baltimore Orioles.
While the Bronx team waits for its rival, behind closed doors they try to resolve a dilemma that manager Aaron Boone faces regarding left field. Well, the Yankees manager will have to choose which player he lines up for the playoffs.
There are two options, although very different from each other, on the one hand the experience of Alex Verdugo. While the other alternative would be the explosiveness of the young Jasson Domínguez. A decision that Boone appears not to have made yet.

And when Boone was recently asked in an interview for MLB.com Regarding his decision for left field, the helmsman responded. “We’ll see what happens. “I have something in mind, but we’ll see how it plays out.”
Boone will have to choose between sacrificing the offense and betting on Alex Verdugo’s good glove in the outfield. Who this regular season left an almost perfect fielding percentage with .997, but with a low offensive average of .233. The other option that Boone has is to give him the opportunity to Jasson Domínguez and bet on his great offensive power.
However, Domínguez has defensive shortcomings and Boone knows it. “Obviously he had some problems in the outfield, but I feel like he still had quality shifts. I certainly know what he’s capable of on both sides of the game, and he offers that combination of speed“Argued the manager.
For now, Boone will still have a couple of days to make a decision regarding left field before the New York team’s Division Series begins this Saturday, October 5. That he will seek to win a World Series again 15 years later.
