AAP as a threat; BJP with a great campaign in Gujarat: Amit Shah in the field – BJP Gujarat

AHMEDABAD – The BJP will campaign widely in Gujarat ahead of the assembly elections. 5 yatras are organized under the name of Gaurav Yatra. The BJP first organized Gaurav Yatra in 2002. There was also a trip in 2017.

The trip is aimed at tribal vows. The Yatra is carried out with a massive campaign as the Patidar community is against the BJP. The Aam Aadmi party poses a serious threat to the BJP in the state. The BJP fears that traditional Congressional votes could go to the Aam Aadmi party. Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Congress, who disappeared in Gujarat, of collaborating with the AAP to oust the BJP.

Party President JP Nadda, Union Interior Minister Amit Shah, Prime Minister Bhupendra Patel and others will be part of the yatra. BJP campaigned in 144 constituencies in 10 days. 145 meetings will be organized during the 5,734 km route. There are 182 constituencies in Gujarat. The 490km route from Unai to Ambaji is dominated by tribals.

In the 2017 elections, 27 seats were reserved for the ST category. The Bharatiya Tribal Party won two seats. Congress won the rest of the seats. Gaurav Yatra was first organized in 2002, when there was widespread criticism of Modi following the Gujarat uprisings. BJP won 127 seats that day. In 2017, a yatra was organized before the elections, but only managed to win 99 seats.

A senior BJP leader said the purpose of the trip is to prepare party workers for elections. This time around, the goal is to beat the record of 149 seats won by Congress. Tribal vows matter. That’s why we’re focusing on the tribal areas, he said.

JP Nadda inaugurated the Yatra in Bechraji and Dwarka on Wednesday. Union ministers Bhupendra Yadav, Piyush Goyal, Mansuk Mandavya, Anurag Thakur and others were present.
