In the most recent episode of the podcast, Aaf and her duo partner Marc-Marie Huijbregts talk about the subject of sales. Of course, this also includes the subject of shopping.
Then Aaf starts telling about an unpleasant experience. “There was also a woman in a store that I will not name, who would always say that… Then I would just look at something and she would say: That is not your size,” says Aaf. “And then I thought: Woooow.”
Marc-Marie reacts with horror to the story. “Then I was gone”, Aaf continues. “I think: what are you fatshaming me for? She really did. Then I will disappear.”
Recently Aaf also heard of another store where they were not so nice to people from a different background. “Then I won’t go there again.” Marc-Marie agrees. “So do I. I get done with shopping very quickly.”
