From this evening at 10 p.m., Autobahn 7 in Hamburg will be completely closed again – for a total of 31 hours. The closure between the Hamburg-Stellingen and Hamburg-Heimfeld junctions also affects the Elbe Tunnel.
The background is the eight-lane expansion of the A7 and the construction of a new noise protection tunnel in Altona. Temporary bridges are to be built over the motorway. They should restore the pedestrian and cycle path connection on Baurstrasse as quickly as possible. They were demolished in June.

The Elbe tunnel is also closed
The A7 will be completely closed for 31 hours between the Hamburg-Stellingen and Hamburg-Heimfeld junctions. This means that the Elbe tunnel is also closed. According to Autobahn GmbH Nord, the closure will last from Friday, September 27th, at 10 p.m. to Sunday, September 29th, at 5 a.m. The closure of the Hamburg-Stellingen, Hamburg-Volkspark, Hamburg-Bahrenfeld, Hamburg-Othmarschen, Hamburg-Waltershof and Hamburg-Heimfeld junctions begins at 9 p.m.
Detour via A1, A21 and B205
During the total closure, national traffic will be diverted over a large area via the A1, A21 and B205. Road users from the south will be redirected to the A1 from the Buchholzer triangle or Horster triangle via the Maschener Kreuz, while road users from the north will be redirected to the B205 from the Neumünster-Süd junction. In the city center, the Elbe bridges are available to drivers.
HSV game in the Volksparkstadion
During the lockdown, Hamburger SV is also playing in the 2nd Bundesliga against SC Paderborn. Kick-off in the Volksparkstadion is on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Köhlbrand Bridge closed until Monday morning
Also this evening, the Köhlbrand Bridge will be closed for maintenance and repair work. It is the sixth and probably last maintenance weekend this year. The closure will last from 9 p.m. today until 5 a.m. Monday morning.
Zeppelinstrasse at the airport is also partially closed
From this evening until Sunday evening, Zeppelinstrasse towards the city center will also be closed. The airport bypass needs to be resurfaced.
