A heavy truck on fire, carrying 20 tonnes of hay, was reported on the A7 motorway near Vienne towards Marseille, around 8 a.m. this Saturday morning.
Since then, the firefighters and the Vinci Autoroutes teams have worked all morning and until the beginning of the afternoon to restore traffic to motorists.

All the interventions, in particular the evacuation of the truck and its load, required several hours for a return to normal which could have taken place at the beginning of the afternoon. All morning, traffic at the height of the accident was in the only left lane.

From Lyon, on the A6 after the Villefranche-sur-Saône toll gate and on the A42 before the junction with the A432, follow the direction of Grenoble. Shortly before Grenoble, take the A49 towards Valence. This route generated an extension of about 70 km and an additional toll.
