A7 near Leek closed in both directions after collision between concrete mixer and delivery van – Friesland

According to the ANWB there is already a traffic jam of 5 kilometers, from Heerenveen to Groningen. Conversely, in the direction of Friesland, there is a traffic jam of approximately 2 kilometers. The delay increases quickly.

Traffic to Groningen can detour via Zwolle (A32 and A28). If you are coming from Groningen, you can detour via Meppel and Assen (A32, A28).

The cause of the accident is not yet clear. The concrete mixer is on the road to Heerenveen, while the bus is on the road to Groningen, on the other side of the guard rail.

Meanwhile, investigation is being done into the cause of the accident. The road will then be cleaned and the guard rail repaired, Rijkswaterstaat says.
