The A59 towards Den Bosch has been closed since Thursday morning following a collision between a lorry and a van near Drunen. The driver of the van was seriously injured.
It is not yet clear what the exact cause of the accident is. The van collided with the truck and the driver of the van was trapped.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. An air ambulance has landed on the highway.
Delay
There is currently a three kilometer traffic jam towards Den Bosch, good for half an hour late.
Traffic is diverted via the Hooipolder Interchange onto the A2, A27 and A15.
