The police pulls a truck out of traffic on the A5 near Bad Nauheim (Wetteraukreis). The driver probably had more than three per thousand in his blood.
Bad Nauheim – The police stopped a drunk truck driver on Autobahn 5 near Bad Nauheim (Wetteraukreis). Due to the “unsafe driving style”, several eyewitnesses noticed his semitrailer on Tuesday evening (23.02.2021) near Butzbach, who then notified the officers. The police officers finally fetched the truck, which was registered in Germany, from the road at the Ober-Mörlen junction.
A5 near Bad Nauheim: breath test results in more than 3.3 per thousand
According to the police, the 55-year-old professional driver achieved a value of more than 3.3 per mille in the breath alcohol test. Investigators took the man to the police station to take blood for further tests.
The responsible public prosecutor’s office ordered a four-digit security deposit due to the incident on the A5. The intoxicated spent the night in police custody. The semitrailer was handed over to the logistics company on Wednesday morning (February 23, 2021). (red)
