As part of the route renewal, the A44 between Krefeld and Mönchengladbach will be completely closed at the weekend. The connection points are already sealed earlier.
Krefeld/Mönchengladbach – The next full closure is coming up on the A44 in North Rhine-Westphalia. After the motorway was recently closed near Alsdorf for days, a more northern section of the route is now affected. From Friday (October 20th) the road on the Lower Rhine in the direction of Mönchengladbach will be completely closed.

In some places the full closure will begin a little earlier. “The driveway to the Krefeld Fichtenhain junction and the Krefeld-Forstwald and Münchheide junctions in the direction of Mönchengladbach will be closed on Friday from 7 p.m.,” said the responsible Autobahn GmbH Rheinland.
