With speeds of 252 and 248 kilometers per hour, respectively, officers captured the two this week. At Nieuwegein-Zuid, the drivers of Audi and Mercedes were then run off the road.
Not only did they have to surrender their driving license immediately, but they also lost their car for the time being. A prosecutor determines the penalty for the competing duo. The seized cars are a Mercedes-AMG A45S and presumably an Audi S3.
It’s not the first time cars have been caught driving at extreme speeds near Nieuwegein. In December 2021, a 20-year-old woman was killed here at a speed of at least 256 km/h. “Run on the track”, write the policemen on social networks, just like: “Don’t drive faster than your guardian angel can fly”.
