The international A1 Padel circuit, in collaboration with the New York Yankees, will organize its very first event in the United States at the Wollman Rink de Central Park, in Manhattan. This event, called A1 Fell New York Grand Master and scheduled for October 9 to 15, could accommodate more than 4,000 spectators.
An American first in the heart of Manhattan
Fabrice Pastorfounder of A1 Padel, expresses his enthusiasm: “Our mission is to promote padel. The best players will show their level to the American public.”
Ike S. FrancoCEO of Infinity Sports, adds: “Our goal is to bring this exhilarating sport to fans across the country. New Yorkers will be the first to feel the energy, the passion of the talented athletes of A1 Padel.”
An international journey
Created in 2020 by Pastor, also CEO of Monte Carlo International Sports, A1 Padel (and its predecessor APT Padel Tour) have already organized more than 50 tournaments in countries such as Spain, Monaco, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina , and South Africa. The tour continues in 2023 with stops scheduled in 18 cities, spanning 13 countries and four continents, including its first stops in the United States.
Notable partnerships and support
Yankees President Randy Levine confirms the collaboration between the Yankees and A1 Padel, highlighting the growing popularity of padel. Additionally, in October 2022, Infinity Sports CEO Ike S. Franco partnered with Pastor to grow the sport in the United States.
Bret Pidgeon, general manager of Wollman Rink, also expresses his enthusiasm for this event.
Tournament program and ticketing information
While the exact times are still to be determined, the tournament will include morning and evening sessions from Monday to Thursday and a single session on Friday. The finals will take place over the weekend. Tickets for the tournament will be available on Tixr, official partner of A1 Padel.
