The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways informs that work on the A1 construction site in the voivodeship The Łódzkie and Śląskie voivodeships are going according to the plan, as evidenced by the commissioning of another 3 km of the new road on Friday, May 14. In total, drivers can use 7 km of the new eastern road with a concrete surface, leading from Piotrków Trybunalski to Wola Krzysztofoporska. It is a quarter of the length of the entire section under construction to Kamieńsk.
As before, traffic on the new road takes place on one lane in each direction (1 + 1 system). The lanes are 4 m wide, so even the largest trucks can travel on them comfortably and safely. This section is limited to 60 km / h.
The contractor has announced that it will systematically provide drivers with access to the next sections of the eastern part of the A1 motorway – the last one is to be opened during this year’s holidays.
