A1 M – Olympic Roma vs Pro Recco 2-12

Pro Recco wins in Ostia at the home of the Training Academy Olympic Roma by 2-12 and while waiting for Ortigia – Brescia, scheduled for tomorrow, they are alone at the top of the A1 series standings.

Domination of the Italian champions who went 0-10 (with three goals from Di Fulvio) and conceded their first goal after almost 22 minutes of play.

Sukno without Echenique, Presciutti and Hallock, Jacopo Cavalli makes his debut in 2006 and in the first two halves he fields Negri, unbeaten, in goal. Pro Recco attacks the match and closes the first quarter with a 0-4 run in which Durik’s first goal for the Biancoceleste stands out, scoring after less than three minutes (0-2) before the two goals from Di Fulvio and Condemi from position 4.

Less than 90 seconds were enough for Di Fulvio to open the second half with Pro Recco’s fifth goal, then the number 2 shot a penalty from Haverkampf onto the post. The captain immediately makes up for it with a beautiful shot that beats Giannotti from distance. Before the change of pitch Durik hits the target again: it’s 0-7 after sixteen minutes

Sukno introduces Del Lungo and the script of the match does not change with Pro Recco scoring three more times: Iocchi Gratta’s fireball, Scarmi’s advance on the right side and Younger’s diagonal from position 2 which makes it 0-10. When the 22nd minute of the game was approaching, the hosts found the way to the net with Vitale: it was also the last goal of the half which ended at +9 for the Biancoceleste.

In the last quarter there is personal glory for Haverkampf, his first goal with the Pro Recco cap, who beats substitute Peluso on a penalty.

A good test for Di Fulvio and his teammates expected on Thursday in Lavagna (8.45 pm) from the difficult Euro Cup match against the Hungarians Szolnok.
