A young mother died in an accident. Her two children and mother are in hospital. The girls have serious injuries. This was reported by the police.
The accident happened around 2:56 p.m. today in the Burgas – Sredets road section in the area of the junction for Cherni vrah.
A head-on collision between two cars proved fatal for the young woman.
A 33-year-old woman from Burgas was killed in the accident, traveling on the front right seat in one of the cars – a “Citroen S 3” with Burgas registration, driven by her 53-year-old mother.
Both children of the deceased were in the car – sisters aged 5 and 8, who were taken to UMBAL Burgas.
The 5-year-old girl has a life-threatening skull fracture.
Her 8-year-old sister has a concussion. Their 53-year-old grandmother is in contact, the injuries received are currently being specified.
The driver of the guilty car – a “BMW” with Burgas registration, a 59-year-old man from the village of Konstantinovo was not injured. He was tested for alcohol and drug use, both tests came back negative. The road is closed until the scene is investigated, using a detour route. The probable cause of the accident is the sudden entry of the “BMW” car into the oncoming traffic lane.
