An investigation was opened after the death of a young man aged 22, shot dead Saturday morning in Garges-lès-Gonesse (Val-d’Oise), according to the Pontoise prosecutor’s office.
The victim, unknown to justice, was shot in the head, said the prosecution, specifying that no hypothesis was privileged at this stage.
Died shortly after arriving at the hospital
The facts took place in the early morning, around 6 a.m., on a boulevard in the Muette district, behind a Cora supermarket, closed at this early hour.

According to information from the Parisian, the young man was said to have been shot near a shisha bar, where he would have spent the evening with about fifteen other people.
His companions being very tipsy, none of them could explain to the investigators how the evening degenerated, nor if a link existed between their evening at the shisha bar and the death of the young man.
After a heart massage provided by the firefighters, the young man was taken care of by the emergency services and transported to the Lariboisière hospital in Paris. He eventually died shortly after arriving at the hospital, despite the treatment he received.
The investigation was entrusted to the Departmental Security. In particular, it should identify the victim’s route between the hookah bar and the fatal shot. No lead is currently privileged, and no arrest has taken place.
