A story like a movie script was written on Monday night in a commune in Argeș. A 21-year-old man is suspected of killing the man who killed his grandfather more than a decade ago.

The 21-year-old man, who lives in Bucharest, was taken for questioning in Pitesti after midnight. The investigators from Argeş alerted their colleagues from the Capital as soon as the hypothesis was drawn according to which the individual would be the main suspect of the crime that took place in Vedea commune.
There, a 70-year-old man named Gheorghe Oprea was found dead in the yard of his house. Alerted by the villagers, the police came to the scene and found that the man had been killed in a fight. And the investigations led them to the 21-year-old from Bucharest, the descendant of a villager, killed by Oprea 11 years ago.
Neighbors say they saw the boy on Monday, when he visited his grandmother. The woman lives right next to Gheorghe Oprea, the one whom the young man had sworn years ago to take revenge. In fact, according to the villagers, it would not be the first time that the boy, blinded by the pain caused by the end of his grandfather, bursts out.
Heard by the police, the grandmother of the young man suspected of the murder confirms the revenge option. Her nephew was marked in childhood by the loss of the grandfather he loved very much and could not forgive the perpetrator.

Neighbors say it would not be the first time the boy has erupted, blinded by the pain caused by his grandfather’s violent end.

For the crime of 11 years ago, the neighbor served his sentence with imprisonment and was released on parole in 2018.
Now, the young man who had sworn to avenge his grandfather’s death is being held by the police.
