During the day of Saturday, December 16, a young man from Burkina Faso drowned in a pit (place where gold is extracted) in Solony in the Fatoya district of the Kintinia sub-prefecture.
After several hours of searching, the Red Cross, with the help of some local young people, managed to recover the body on Saturday evening.
According to information, the victim is from Burkina Faso and his name is Augustin Ouédraogo. He would have come to the locality to work in the artisanal mines in search of Gold.
