A terrible incident took place at the Tate Gallery in London a few years ago. A young man threw a seven-year-old child out the window of the tenth floor. Despite the doctors’ poor prognosis, the child has managed to recover, reports The Sun.
The terrible incident took place in 2019. 17-year-old Johnny Braver admitted to attempted murder. He threw an unknown child out the window of the tenth floor.
He testified in court that he had gone to Tate’s gallery with the intention of harming someone so that he could see himself on television.
It is now three years since the horrific incident. Despite the doctors’ poor prognosis, the child is continuing to recover.
The seven-year-old child had broken both his back and limbs and experienced cerebral haemorrhage after experiencing the horrors. He spent about two months in the hospital’s intensive care unit. The boy could neither speak nor eat. He kept in touch with his loved ones with a smile.
Nowadays, parents are very proud of their son, because there are significant improvements. Finally, after several years, the boy is able to leave the bed and go outside with the help of a wheelchair. The boy is currently in rehabilitation.
The parents are proud of the boy’s perseverance and motivation to work back to a normal life. He is currently trying to regain his ability to walk. “He is able to stand still longer and continues to gradually gain balance. He continues to fall, but much less,” his parents say.
Thanks to persistent work, the boy has also started talking a bit.
Previously, doctors did not predict significant improvements in the boy’s health. They prepared the parents for the worst, that the child would never be able to take care of himself or talk again.
In 2020, the court sentenced Johnny to life imprisonment.
The moment Johnny threw the little boy out of the tenth-floor window (about 30.48 meters), he just laughed and looked at it. He later admitted to a gallery employee what he had done. “I think I’ve killed someone, I just threw someone out the window.”
Johnny is reported to have mental health problems. He explained that he had thrown the little boy out the window because he heard voices in his head calling to hurt or kill a stranger.
