A young firefighter from Deux-Sèvres was seriously injured this Saturday morning in Niort in a road accident which occurred shortly after 6 a.m. While driving his personal car, the 20-year-old driver violently crashed into three other parked vehicles. The shock occurred on the avenue de Limoges, not far from the rescue center on the rue de l’Aérodrôme.
The firefighters had to extricate their colleague before evacuating him, “in absolute urgency”, to the Poitiers University Hospital.
Colonel Leroy, head of the site, went to the scene of the accident as well as to the rescue center where the victim works in order to “meet the staff”.
