A woman who spent 3 days trapped in a car in Valencia is rescued alive – Diario La Página –

A woman has been rescued alive, after having spent 3 days trapped inside a car, which had been left at the bottom of an underpass in the municipality of Benetússer, located in the Spanish province of Valencia, reported the night of this Friday Civil Protection.

It is stated that the woman – who was trapped in the car due to the devastating passage of DANA – has already been transferred to a hospital, local media report.

For his part, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Saturday the mobilization of another 5,000 soldiers to deal with the consequences of the floods. “Today, 4,000 additional troops from military units will arrive in the province of Valencia and the remaining 1,000 will arrive first thing tomorrow morning,” he declared.

Sánchez added that he has also ordered the deployment of another 5,000 national police and civil guards to participate in rescue efforts in the affected areas. In addition, he announced that a Navy amphibious ship, equipped with accommodation, operating rooms and support vehicles, will arrive at the port of Valencia in the next few hours.
