On the tertiary road that leads to the Los Pinos spa, in the municipality of Pelaya, a woman was murdered by several gunshot wounds, in an act that was perpetrated in front of the victim’s partner.
This is Dagny Herrera Turizo, 57 years old, who worked in various jobs and lived in the 17 de Junio neighborhood of said town.
According to the first versions of the event, the alleged criminals allegedly forced the woman to get off the motorcycle and executed her, then fled the scene without leaving a trace.
In this regard, the municipal representative of Pelaya, Eguis José Palma Chacón, stated that the events occurred on the road that leads to the rural area known as Los Pinos, where people come to party and would be in some type of celebration because it was the 25th of December. Regarding the motives for the incident, until now there is no official version, so the authorities continue with the investigations to clarify this crime that has dismayed the inhabitants of Pelaya.
Meanwhile, the body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine morgue and it was expected that it would be handed over to his relatives for a Christian burial.
