LAHORE, KOMPAS.com – Police on Pakistan said 12 men had been detained for questioning after two gunmen allegedly raped a woman in Pakistan.
The two men were also accused of pointing their guns in front of them child-the victim’s child when his car broke down on road the quiet one as reported by Hindustan Times, Thursday (9/9/2020).
Allegations rape what happened on the Lahore-Sialkot highway on Wednesday (9/9/2020) that night caused outrage in the country.
Pakistanis from all walks of life are demanding the arrest of the suspects.

Punjab Police Inspector General Inam Ghani said on Thursday they had obtained “evidence” which would lead police to the perpetrators.
“We have done a great job so far on rape cases on the highway,” Ghani told the channel Geo Pakistan.
Ghani added that the police had also found the village where the suspects lived.
The victim was allegedly raped while waiting for help because her car broke down while crossing the road.

When the woman’s awaited help arrives, she finds the victim in a pathetic state.
The victim reportedly looked very frightened, with a cloth covered in blood.
Lahore Police Chief Umar Sheikh initially blamed the woman for the incident, for driving on the highway late at night.

Musarrat Cheema, spokesman for the Punjab Provincial Government, Pakistan, previously said that efforts were underway to trace and arrest the perpetrators.
Pakistani Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari said her ministry’s regional office had requested an action report from the police.
