In a tense atmosphere between the two protagonists, and under the gaze of a dozen other individuals, the woman is filmed grabbing a broken phone and then throwing it away, before attempting to hit her. interlocutor. As a reaction, he will push the woman down the stairs before running away. After a fall of several meters during which she manages to hang on to a railing, she seems to get up, without it being possible to say more about her state of health.

Facts reported to the police

This Saturday morning, a few hours after announcing that she wanted to create an annual barometer intended to measure the extent of street harassment, the Minister for Citizenship Marlène Schiappa denounced this attack, still on Twitter.

“I reported the inadmissible facts relayed by this video, street harassment + revolting physical assault, to the police headquarters so that the author could be identified and arrested. All my support for the victim”, accompanying his comments with the hashtag # Do not let pass.

Note that the video relayed by the minister only presents a truncated version of the scene, massively shared under the hashtag #LaRacailleTue. Other netizens have since published new images showing the altercation longer in length.

No complaint

A few minutes later, the Paris prefecture also reacted, stressing on its social networks that an investigation had been “opened and entrusted to the local police station.”
