A Woman Hears Strange ‘Screams’ in the Ceiling and is Surprised to Find Piles of Babies – New Era

Erabaru.net. Recently, a homeowner in Scarborough, Ontario, was in his bedroom when he noticed a strange sound coming from his ceiling.

“So [mendengar] screaming sounds coming from above his bed,” a representative from Gates Wildlife Service told The Dodo.

The chattering was soon followed by a chorus of cries, bangs, and heavy footsteps.

Is there an intruder in the house?

When the wildlife control staff arrived, they headed up to the attic and saw a figure had been scratching and gnawing at the shingles and plywood. After breaking through a wall, they finally found them – a pile of four baby raccoons huddled together, trying to stay warm.

The wildlife control staff was shocked. Most raccoons are born between March and May, but this baby was born earlier in February.

“The discovery of a baby raccoon this year was unexpected,” said the representative. “However, finding a newborn raccoon in the early months of the year is not uncommon. In fact, last year marked the earliest discovery of a baby raccoon in Gates’ Wildlife Control’s 38-year history, with the first cub found on January 20, 2022.

Wildlife rangers carefully secured the babies in one of their special bags and took them outside. Once outside the home, the babies are transferred to a heated box, where they can safely wait for their mother to pick them up.

The next morning, Gates’ staff returned to the scene and were pleased to find that all the babies were gone.

“As expected, the four babies were successfully collected and transferred by their mothers,” said the representative.

Unlike other baby animals, which leave their mothers quickly, young raccoons need to stay with their mothers for the first few months of life so they can protect them and teach them the skills they need.

Luckily for this family, they all find their way back to each other—in the wilderness. (yn)
